Morocco is a country very dear to me. First time I visited the country was in 1982 and I was overwhelmed by all the impressions of colours, spices, delicious fruits and food and the textile tradition. Walking the beach of Agadir searching for small colourful oyster shells. Visiting the souk and shopping for perfume, pottery and jewellry. An unforgettable trip to the Sahara desert and meating the Berber people.
My favourite city of Marrakech with palaces and winding alleys in the medina, and the large square Djema-el-Fnaa were snake charmers, musicians, dancers, henna tattooists, argan oil salesmen and many more perform all day long.
I have returned to Marrakech many times, sometimes it feels like I lived there in a previous life. Maybe I have, maybe not… However, with this pattern collection ”A tale of Morocco” I want to share my love for Morocco and Marrakech with you.
