This is the complete set of capital and lowercase alphabet letter patterns for crochet. Please note that there are not 52 patterns because the lowercase b, p, and d, for example, are one pattern. The lowercase u and n are also one pattern. The lowercase l and capital I are also the same pattern.
These patterns require sc, scd, sl st and foundation single crochet. There are links in the patterns to assist you if you are not familiar with foundation single crochet.
These patterns are a great way to use up small amounts of yarn. They are also great for toddlers and preschoolers to play with and learn their names and/or whole alphabet. While creating the patterns for these, I donated an entire set to my youngest daughter’s preschool class. One of my pattern testers made “Merry Christmas” with the letters to make a wall hanging for the season.
These letters are approximately 6.5 to 8.5 inches tall, depending upon the letter and how closely your gauge is to mine.
Please note that you may try out the E, I, and O for free before purchasing this set.
