Since its first issue in 2012, amirisu magazine has transformed over time. We’ve changed the size of the magazine and split it into Japanese and English editions. However, it will now start anew as series of pattern books.

The theme of the first issue is gardens, places where we take a break from knitting, look out the window at the flowers, rest our eyes, and do some gardening. For people living in big cities with little greenery, gardens are precious places that give us peace of mind and allow us to feel the changing of the seasons. This collection of 12 knitwear items, rich in detail and texture, was inspired by such gardens. These are the kind of pieces that make you want to knit for the coming spring, a pleasant change from the cold winter.

雑誌amirisuは2012年の創刊以来、サイズを変えたり日本語版と英語版を分けたりと形を変えてきましたが、2023年の27号で雑誌は終了し、今回からパターンブックとして新しくスタートします。

記念となる第1号のテーマはガーデン。編み物の途中に手を止めて、窓から花々を眺めて目を休めたり、ガーデニングに勤しんだり。緑の少ない大都市に暮らす人々にとっては尚更、庭は安らぎを与えてくれ、季節の移ろいを感じさせてくれる貴重な場所です。そんな庭からアイデアを膨らませた、ディテールやテクスチャに富んだニットが12点揃いました。寒い冬から一転、気持ちの良い春に向けて編みたくなる作品ばかりです。
