The Anne of Green Gables series of books are some of my favourite books of all time and I have read them time and time again! It has been so fun to design this collection of sock patterns that were inspired by some of my favourite characters (though it was hard to choose only three!)
One of the best loved quotes from the book is when Anne exclaims “I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers” and what better way to start the cozy fall and winter season than by casting on some socks?
As a member of the Anne Sock Pattern Club, you will receive a surprise sock pattern delivered automatically to your Ravelry library on October 1, November 1, and December 1.
The patterns are written to be knit cuff down with a traditional heel flap and gusset. Each pattern features some simple lace or texture in the design and includes instructions for 3 adult sizes(small, medium and large). The second pattern is a men’s sock pattern!
The patterns were inspired by 3 of my favourite characters from the Anne of Green Gables book:
Anne - will be released on October 1
Gilbert - will be released on November 1
Diana - will be released on December 1
The patterns are experienced beginner friendly and you can also check out the tutorials on my YouTube channel to help you along.
Each pair of socks requires between 80 and 100 g of fingering weight yarn, depending on the size of your foot.
Tonals or lightly speckled yarns will work best with these designs, but feel free to knit them with any fingering weight yarn you like!
And if you just can’t wait to get started, the club includes a bonus copy of the Anne Dishcloth!
