Three haps that I designed in 2015 as a result of my fascination with Shetland haps. All three pieces are based on the same-size central square, but introduce variety of stitch patterns for the central pieces as well as for borders and traditional edgings.
Arctic Water, the first in the Arctic Aura set, is the squishiest and the heaviest in look of all the three haps. Its cold blue paired with off-white resembles chilly weather and bright light of the northern waters- beautiful, dangerous, undiscovered and mysterious.
Arctic Air, the second in the Arctic Aura set, is the loftiest of all the pieces. Its colours are meant to bring Arctic breeze to your everyday life and make you feel refreshed every time you wrap yourself with this hap.
Arctic Land, the third in the Arctic Aura set, presents the largest variety of stitch patterns out of all the three haps. This piece is all white like a snowy, sparkling northern land where only water and air can bring other colours to meet the land.
