ABOUT THE PATTERN
All four patterns share the same body structure and crochet techniques, providing a solid foundation for your crafting adventure. Whether you’re a crochet enthusiast or an advanced beginner looking to practice and develop your skills, these patterns offer an accessible yet engaging experience. Using DK yarn and a 2.5mm hook, each Eggy is approximately 11cm tall.
SKILL LEVEL
Rated as intermediate, these patterns strike a balance between simplicity and creativity. While the majority of the stitches used are straightforward, a touch of sewing and embroidery is required to bring your Eggies to life. There are also several colour changes and a few trickier techniques required at times to create the character detail. Fear not, as less common stitches and techniques are explained through detailed instructions, accompanied by photos and links to my website for further hints and tips.

Tapestry needle
For Eggy Mermaid you will also need:

♀️ skin colour
♀️ tail and star fish colour (pink)
♀️ hair colour (yellow for curly hair and pale turquoise for hair with pony tail)
♀️ small amount of white for eyes
♀️ small amount of top colour (purple)
♀️ Tiny amount of black for mouth and pupils if opting for crocheted eyes

For Eggy Shark / Dolphin you will also need:
- DK yarn in chosen colours, the following colours were used to create this pattern:
For the shark:

Tiny amount of black embroidery thread or yarn for embroidering mouth and gills
For the dolphin:

If you are opting for crocheted eyes, you will also need a tiny amount of black and white. I used a thinner yarn for this (5 ply / sport weight) along with a slightly smaller hook. You can use the same weight yarn but they will turn out slightly larger than in the photographs.

red for body, feathers and wings

small amount of white for eye whites
small amount of black for beak
- 12mm Safety eyes or a small amount of black yarn if crocheting the eyes
