Laura Zander of Jimmy Beans Wool approached us at the June 2011 TNNA tradeshow with an ambitious idea: to launch an industry-wide initiative committed to raising awareness of heart disease in women. Here we are, just 12 months later, and Stitch Red (www.stitchred.com) is in full swing!
Like many Americans, almost all of us here at Classic Elite Yarns have been touched by heart disease, and we jumped at the chance to participate. Until June 30, 2013, we are proud to donate 5% of the profits from three of our purest red colorways to the Foundation for the National Institutes of Health in support of The Heart Truth®: Magnolia in #5458 Ruby, Alpaca Sox in #1832 Cereza, and Silky Alpaca Lace in #2432 Garnet.
