All ten charms for the Charmed Garland plus the garland to hang them on for a fraction of the price of buying separately! Although only eight patterns are showing, you’ll get the full set right away by buying the ebook.
Inspired by the fun we have as a family decorating for Christmas each year and enjoying tasty decorated gingerbread with hot chocolate afterwards, I created a garland with fun characters and other Christmas symbols that you can look forward to meeting again each year and even personalise to resemble your own family.
You can choose whether to make one of each ornament or more and whether to present them as a pretty fireplace, shelf or staircase garland or keep them as individual ornaments for your tree. This purchase includes a full knitting pattern for all the ornaments and garland. A crocheted version is available as a separate pattern, so do take a look at that if you also like to crochet.
What you’ll need to know before you start:
Sizes: Make the garland to fit your own home and in your preferred weight of yarn, so your sizing will reflect this. Sizes and yardage in the pattern are for DK yarn.
Tension: 24 sts x 32 rows = 10cm/4” measured over st st.
Working method: Most ornaments are knitted in the round in the manner of a toe-up sock, using a double sided cast on and paired side incs and decs for shaping. Embroidered details, button and pipe cleaner embellishments are added afterwards. The candy cane is made as i-cord with a pipe cleaner inside to shape it. The garland is made of three strands of i-cord and the ornaments can be stitched on (or given ribbon ties enabling them to be fastened on).
