The more Cottage Vegetables the merrier! This ebook contains all the patterns, pictures, and information that you will need to make Cottage Garden Cabbage, Carrots, and Tomatoes in a variety of styles and colors. Beginner friendly and easy to make with just a small amount of yarn you’ll soon have bushels and bushels of these fun veggies!
The veggies are great to use for decoration, imaginative play, turning into key chains or other fun gift bag decoration, and sharing with all your garden loving friends!
These veggies are smaller in scale than a regular sized veggies. See the finished measurements below for details.
PATTERN INFORMATION
- Your PDF purchase includes written instructions and helpful photographs to aid in construction of the Cottage Garden Cabbage,Carrot, and Tomato.
- The patterns are written in English using US crochet terminology.
SKILLS NEEDED
- The skill level needed is advanced beginner.
- The techniques you will need to know for making the veggies include: chain, single crochet, slip stitch, increase, invisible decrease, double crochet, working in the back loop, and the adjustable ring.
MATERIALS NEEDED
To complete the Cottage Garden Veggies you will need: worsted/aran yarn in your choice of colors (Tomato: about 16 yds, Cabbage: about 315 yds, Carrot: about 15 yds), a size E/4 (3.5 mm) crochet hook, stitch markers, tapestry needle, stuffing, scissors, and a chopstick to help stuff. Optionally you will need: pins, embroidery floss, embroidery needle, and 6 mm safety eyes if adding a face.
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
- The Tomato measures approximately 2 inches wide, approximately 2 inches tall including the stem, and 5.5 inches in circumference at the widest part.
- The Cabbage measures approximately 2.5 inches tall, 3.5 inches wide, and 9 inches in circumference.
- The Carrot body measures approximately 2.75 inches long. Including the green carrot top it’s approximately 4 inches long and 3 inches in circumference at the widest part.
