The inspiration of this collection is my love for the griddle stitch texture and seeing Kathy’s Kozies amazing idea for her new faux leather pockets. I knew I had to design something that could use the pockets and be useful for myself, my customers, my crocheting friends, and my non-crocheting friends.

The functionality of this pattern makes it perfect for everyone. You can use it as a project bag, diaper bag, purse, gift wrapping bag with a bonus use, a shopping bag, and so much more. Each tote can be lined and they would all make great vendor show items. They’re perfect to sell in a small shop or on Etsy, and they make great gifts.

The base of the Dancing Grace Tote really helps this bag stand out from others because of the “knit” look; which is actually designed for strength. The amazing texture and sturdy handle also make this pattern stand apart from others. Each tote bag in this collection has the griddle crochet stitch and all but the basic have a unique bobble crochet stitch design featuring a few of my favorite things.

Abbreviations:
3L – 3rd loop
bo - bobble stitch (see Special Stitch Instructions)
ch – chain
dc – double crochet
hdc – half double crochet
RS – right side
sc – single crochet
sk – skip
st(s) – stitch(es)
xsc – crossed single crochet (see Special Stitch Instructions)
WS – wrong side

Materials:
• 425 yards Hobby Lobby I Love This Yarn or similar worsted weight #4 (basic)
• 550 yards Hobby Lobby I Love This Yarn or similar worsted weight #4 (all bobble designs)
• J/10 6mm hook
• tapestry needle
• scissors
• 6 stitch markers

Notes:
1) This pattern is written in US terms
2) This pattern is written in rounds
3) This pattern uses the griddle stitch
4) Chart should be read from left to right
5) Pay attention to whether or not you turn for each round
6) Join each round with a slip stitch or an invisible slip stitch, your preference; joins are not written for each round
7) Rounds 3-37 will have 96 stitches each round (basic); Rounds 3-51 will have 96 stitches each round (all bobble designs)
8) Rounds 38-45 will have 198 stitches each round (basic); Rounds 52-59 will have 198 stitches each round (all bobble designs)
9) The chain at the beginning of the round does not count towards the stitch count
10) I changed colors for all bobbles; to have the base a separate color than the bag, change colors after completion of round 10
