My name is Élaina and I am a French Canadian/Filipina knitter and crocheter currently living in Scotland.
I define my design aesthetic as “committed to being eclectic”. Wearable to me can be brightly-coloured statement pieces as well as sleek and minimal neutrals. The most important factor for me is the tactile and mental experience involved in creating every piece.
I am committed to using my creativity to promote BIPOC, queer, and disabled dyers and makers as well as being transparent about financial accessibility. In concrete terms, this means that I will be conscientious of who I collaborate with, that I will always be open about the yarn support I benefit from, that I will use a tiered pricing system, and that I will create patterns with gifted, reclaimed, and stashed yarn to showcase different sources of raw materials.
