Lacy set of fingerless mittens, cowl and beret. Knit them with the recommended yarns in both their fingering and DK weights, or with fingering weight yarn, held double for the beret and the cowl. Choose lace edging or knit the lengthening chart for the fingerless mittens.

Cowl and beret
Recommended yarn:
Rowan Pure Wool DK (colourway 019 Avocado), 100% superwash wool.
Gauge: 22 sts and 25 rows x 10 cm (4”) in St st.
Needles: 4 mm (US 6) or size necessary to obtain correct gauge.
Yardage: 320 metres (350 yards) Cowl: 155 metres (170 yards)
Beret: 165 metres (180 yards)
Fingerless mittens
Recommended yarn:
Rowan Pure Wool 4 ply (colourway 419, Avocado), 100% superwash wool.
Gauge: 30 sts and 42 rows x 10 cm (4”) in St st.
Needles: Main needle 2.75 mm (US 2) or size necessary to obtain correct gauge.
Optional: 2.25 mm (US 1) or one size
down from main needles.
Yardage: 160 metres (175 yards).
Knitting the entire set with fingering weight yarn
Total yardage: 790 metres (860 yards) approximately.
Lace edging
The lace edging on the mittens is optional. You will need a small amount of lace weight yarn (pictured Rowan Kidsilk Haze colourway 629 Fern).
Needles for lace edging: 3.5 mm (US 4), circular, dpn or straight. Gauge is not important.
