At my very first workshop, a participant asked me, if it was possible to combine PINK, ORANGE and RED. She was sceptical, because the color differences were quite harsh. When I placed a few nuances in between her three skeins, the flow was softer and more harmonious. I liked the combination and jotted down the colors for a future project.
A year later, my mother celebrated her 70th birthday.
I knew that she would rejoice by receiving a cowl in these bright colors. When she unwrapped it, she was delighted and moved to tears… What more could one wish for as a daughter and knitter? ;-)
Knitting brings joy in so many ways:
Joy when giving a knitted item as a present. Joy when wearing it. Joy, when looking at other’s knitwork. Joy, when designing and crafting. Joy, when meeting other likeminded people and chatting about knitting stuff. Joy, when buying new delicious yarn!
That is why I now would like to present this pattern to other knitters, together with a yarn kit. For you all know: A joy that’s shared is a joy made double!
