The Fibre Muse Quarterly is an exploration of why we make and how making can have a transformational impact in our lives and the lives of others.
Through the lens of the Fibre Muse archetypes: the Dreamer, the Giver, the Seeker and the Mystic, knitters will be able to develop a deeper relationship with their craft as conscious creators.
The Winter 2018 issue, titled Journey Home, is a deeply personal collection where Frenchie starts looking back to her cultural roots for inspiration and an understanding of self.
Her goal moving forward is to use knitwear design as a mode to retell stories, myths and legends of the Maori to keep the culture alive and fresh, while still connecting each pattern to one of the four Fibre Muses so that each knitter can have their own personal journey and experience with the design.
Journey Home: exploring the intersection of why we make with identity.
