This would be a wonderful souvenir, created with your own hands. Just make it!
This pattern (41 sheets) contains a step by step description of the work with 125 detailed pictures and it’s available in English or Russian languages.
The pattern contains:
- the basic techniques of crocheting (schemes) for beginner.
- description for two variants of the clothes (for a Gunter pig): red unitard and golden suit. The toy can be undressed.
- description for a Gruntie’s dress with bows
** Level: intermediate. Basic skills of amigurumi crochet are needed. The toys have wireframe.
There are only three parts for sewing in every toy - ears, a nose and a tail, all another body details are connecting with crocheting.
Materials (are needed):
1) Acrylic: yarn weight Fingering / 4 ply (14 wpi) (250 meters/50 gr), e.g. “Acacia” by Troitsk Yarn, Baby Solids by Bernat, Lusy by Eliah – beige, black 2) Polyester or cotton with metallic: yarn weight Lace / 2 ply (190 meters / 20 gr), e.g. Camellia by YarnArt, Cotton Gold by Rozetti Yarns, Honey Suckle by Hasegawa Corporation – red, golden, green, lilac
3) Hook 2,0 mm = US Steel Crochet Hook 4
4) Thin wire: d=0,8-0,9 mm – for a body, d=0,3 mm – for a skirt (copper wire is preferable)
5) Padding polyester
6) 2 beads for eyes, 4 buttons for a suit, false eyelashes, sequins or beads
!!! Note: I draw your attention to control a clothing size if you use another yarn different from mine. May be you should take thicker or thinner hook for the suit. It is desirable to keep a ratio of yarn thickness for the body and for the suit as about 2:1. It means yarn for the body should twice as thick as yarn for the suit.
