Hello…I’m standing next to my beehive instead of holding yarn and needles. ..Life spins fast. It has been more than 7 years since I closed my yarn stored called Headwater Wool in Ontario, Canada. Many memories left behind but one thing I know I will be with needles and crochet hook as long as live. Being a yarn store owner changed my way I see this craft. If someone would ever say that I will be knitting or chocheting following patterns - I would say – no way, not going to happen! It happened though. I got used to patterns and I find them fantastic companions to what we all love – handcrafting anything we want using yarns. Patterns are not easy to make. It is not easy to imbed your thoughts and ideas into a piece of paper. So, I do my best in making patterns. I’m trying to make them as clear as possible not to overwhelm with the information and yet to describe the process as much as possible. Some of my patterns are very advanced, especially those that are marked as ‘couture’. These are patterns with darts, less seams, lots of shapes, etc. I rarely make these patterns now, too tedious and time consuming. Some of my patterns are very easy and some are so-so. My favorite patterns are those that ‘so-so’ because these are the ones that we need the most in our life. If you ever worked with my patterns, no matter which ones, please draw me a line. Tell me how I do with my patterns. My email is headwaterwool@gmail.com. I would love to hear from you.
