In 2013 Istex held a competition to gain support for the Icelandic sheep that had been surprised by the very early snow in September 2012. The challenge was to create a sweater that honours Icelandic sheep and symbolizes stormy weather.

Around 140 sweaters were made for the competition, and patterns for 40 of these are now available in this book. All of these sweaters are knitted.
