A collection of Fingerless Mitts – 4 lacey pairs, named for my daughter, who loves them.
It’s amazing how the subtle reordering of simple stitches yields such variation in the character of the knitted fabric. Each pair in this collection is decorated with a simple lace on its upper side from cuff to fingers, and stockinette on its reverse, allowing the tapering of nicely-long cuffs to be easily managed. Mitts are worked in the round and trimmed on each end with ribbing consistent with the texture of its lace.
Lace patterns are both written and charted, with a handy lace row/round counter included to keep you on track during at-the-same-time shaping instructions. Find pretty purpose for leftover yarn with these quick projects. Each is enjoyably engaging to make and perfect for cozy knitting while dreaming of spring.
