Multi volume loose-leaf binders of individual card patterns. Available in 1990-1991. An unknown quantity of patterns published in total and Pingouin/Elle/Frolic were the yarns suggested.
Outside of binder: Bright red cover with three skeins of yarn printed in yellow/gold in the middle.
The abbreviation & color key code were available as one page for guiding the user.

BINDER Patterns are in sections with categories as follows and line colour above pattern picture as given: NOVICE KNITS - dark yellow line, JACQUARD KNITTING - orange line, FASHION - red line, TOYS - pale pink line, BABIES - mauve line, CHILDREN - blue line, WOMEN - teal line line, MEN - dark green line, FAMILY - pale green line, TECHNIQUES AND STITCH LIBRARY - brown line.
Publications could be dated 1990 on the back of each pattern card. Cards are punched with two holes.
Size of cards: 210 mm x 148 mm (about A5 sized). Card has a 1 mm band across the top in a particular colour, the section is printed at the top left, the name of the pattern top right. Coloured skein(s) of yarn is/are on the right. The number of skeins indicate the difficulty: - one skein to three skeins for difficulty rating. The colour on the yarn skein is reproduced on the line separating the picture and text.
Some patterns have the following references: K(with 6 numbers) e.g. K900425 (which may refer to 1990. April 25th), Model (three numbers.two numbers) e.g. 579.89 (which may refer to a Pingouin pattern number 579 of 1989) & vice versa (two numbers. three numbers), Model E(3 numbers) e.g. E004 (which may refer to a pattern number 004 with E=Elle.
