Our theme for the 2023 Rose City Yarn Crawl is Magic.

An annual Portland experience, the Rose City Yarn Crawl is an event for fiber enthusiasts — knitters, crocheters, spinners, weavers, and felters — to explore the many shops in and around Portland, Oregon! 2023 will mark our 14th year of celebrating Portland as a yarn and fiber destination.

This years crawl will be a 4 day in person event. We are thrilled to be welcoming all of our crawlers through our doors for an exciting crawl with passports, fun prizes to win and amazing trunk shows. The 2023 Rose City Yarn Crawl will run from Thursday February 23rd through Sunday February 26th, 2023. Be sure to check out our events page for full details on our trunk shows .

During the Crawl, each shop has one or two featured patterns (either knit or knit and crochet).
• About 2 weeks before the Crawl, details of the patterns and photos are revealed on Ravelry.
• The week of the Crawl (for 2023 that will be Wednesday, February 22nd), that year’s new patterns will be for sale on Ravelry individually for $6 each, as well as compiled into a pattern collection for $25.99.
• For help understanding, purchasing, downloading, and using pattern collections on Ravelry, read our help page.
• During the Crawl you get a free Ravelry download code for each shop’s featured pattern(s) by making any purchase at that shop during the Crawl.
• All shops’ free Ravelry download codes will expire 3 weeks after the crawl ends. For 2023 that will be Monday, March 20th, 2023, at 11:59pm PST.

• During the Crawl, each shop will donate 10% of purchases of their featured yarn(s) shown in each shop’s featured pattern(s) to the charity of the shop’s choice.
