Open(ing) Heart is a collection of two sweaters patterns based on the same circular yoke lace pattern.

Opening Heart is knit up in DK yarn, and transitions to stocking stitch for the body and sleeves.

Open Heart is knit in fingering weight yarn, which allows for the body and sleeves to continue in the open heart lace stitch pattern.

Both sweaters are knit from the top down in one piece. German rows are used to shape the neckline before the lace chart is established. The sleeves are put on hold while the body is worked from the underarm to the hem, then the sleeves are worked from the underarm to the cuff.
