A set of three two-colour brioche cowls. Ideal to build your skills, or just use that beautiful skein of hand-painted worsted weight yarn.
The first is just straightforward two colour brioche: fast, simple and fun. The second adds cables, which are surprisingly easy. And the third adds increases and decreases to create an interesting biased fabric.
The pattern includes a detailed tutorial, with photos, if you’re new to brioche. The instructions have been tested thoroughly by brioche novices, so this is a great way to begin your adventures with my favourite pattern stitch. As long as you’re good working in the round - and can do some increasing and decreasing - you’ll be fine.
Each cowl uses about 50gm/100 yds each of two colours of yarn: recommend a solid and a variegated.
These designs are good for leftovers, and are wonderful gift-knitting.
