“Sharon’s Köchin Collection” started out with just the slouch hat, which was designed as part of the 2024 #CrochetCancerChallenge event hosted by SweetPotato3. I fell in love with the slouch hat, so decided to make a 3 pc set!

The hat honors my Aunt Sharon, who has bone cancer (yellow ribbon). She has always been near & dear to my heart, so I used some of my favorite stitches to honor her. Aunt Sharon, of German decent, spent her life as a chef and for many years was so in her own restaurant. “Köchin” is a feminine German noun that translates to “cook” in English.
