syn·er·gy: /sinərjē/ the interaction or cooperation of two or more substances or agents to produce a combined effect greater than the sum of their separate effects.
For years I have been knitting socks with a single skein of yarn, whether it was solid, tonal, variegated or self-striping yarn. In a quest to use up my sock scraps, I started alternating multiple colors of yarn and fell in love with the results. The combination of the colors created an effect that was so much more striking than the yarns used by themselves. And using multiple yarns allowed me to accentuate and emphasize stitch motifs through the contrasting colors.
And so this collection of sock patterns was born! All of the sock designs in this collection are a fun way to combine 2 of your favorite colors or use up scraps that might not have enough yardage for a full pair of socks. These socks feature fun and easy slipped st motifs, created through switching colors every round. These designs also feature a solid toe, heel and cuff to highlight the stitch motif.
Grab 2 colors of yarn and start an addicting pair of socks to knit, and a striking pair of socks to wear!
