Welcome to the Steeltown Sweaters collection! These eleven sweaters were all knit over a 2 year period for babies and toddlers in the life of our immediate family in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Each sweater is named for the baby or toddler for whom it was made. The sweaters use the same numbers (cast on, yoke, etc) to attain lots of interesting and different looks and will hopefully allow you to dig into your stash and play with color! I did not buy yarn for these projects, but instead challenged myself to use the partial balls of wool I had in my stash. I challenge you to do the same, unless you have no stash then I guess you’ll have to go shopping.
This pattern collection fulfills a need for me. I love whipping up scrappy baby sweaters in worsted weight wool and need good basic templates with which to be creative. By writing and publishing, I will always have them when I need them and maybe someone else would like to use them too.
Included in the whole ebook only is an essay with tips on picking colors and charts for you to alter the lengths of the sweaters and arms.
