This is a pdf format set of crochet patterns, all of my tiny birds and animals to date…thirteen, now, to be exact: a Sparrow, some Fancy Sparrows, a Hummingbird, a Winged Bird (Cardinal-Bluebird-Dove variations included), a Dove, a darling Squirrel, Two different Fish and a Fish edging, a Snail and a Tiny Butterfly, a Sleeping Cat, a Penguin, a Bumblebee, a Butterfly, a Ladybug, and an Owl. They all turn out to be small, mostly under 2 1/2 inches. They’re also designed for thread crochet, but most work out well in yarn (albeit much larger). Actually the owl has versions for both yarn and thread. There’s even a Santa Hat variation for the Owl, the Cat and the Penguin.
The pattern is 74 pages long with many photos per page of the projects in progress. Most of the patterns also have a crochet diagram which makes it super easy! You also have a key to abbreviations, and, of course, the actual instructions and notes themselves.
You’ll need: a size 4 steel crochet hook (or a size close to it) and fashion crochet thread. You’ll also need embroidery needles and floss for a couple of the applique/ornaments, and possibly fabric stiffener and pins to shape some ears, feathers, and the like.
You need to know chain stitch, slip stitch, single crochet, double crochet, half double crochet, triple crochet, and in one pattern a double triple crochet (it’s easy! Just email me for some video links if you can’t find any)
Feel free to make and sell items you create from these patterns, but please don’t pass around my copyrighted patterns, as they are my own original designs! You can see all of my Ravelry patterns at http://www.ravelry.com/stores/susan-kennedy-designs
