’The sun flared through the leaves of the oak tree as it began to set. There was a orange glow to the garden in the evenings that drew the three girls out of hiding into the chilly air. The first sat on the decking step, sock clad toes brushing through the grass, jasmine blossoms woven into her hair by the second knelt behind her. The second admired the braid for a moment, slipping a single rose bud into the highest knot with the steadiest hand a ten-year-old could muster. The third sat legs splayed in the grass, miss-matched socks bunching at the ankles, daisies plucked and piled in her lap. She nipped a stalk with her nail and slotted the last one into place, then rose to her feet to crown her oldest sister, a single daisy tucked into the button of her dress’.
The 3 sock patterns included in this collection are worked top down, the pattern includes instructions for a heel flap and gusset, a modified wedge toe and how to work these in a contrast yarn (optional).
