Tiny Knits for Tiny People is a book filled with patterns for knitted cuteness that is meant to be used as newborn photography props - use the softest and cuddliest yarns, pick your own colors, have fun and make something unique! This book contains several of original designs for knitted newborn photography props, those are meant to fit for the first few weeks right after the baby is born. In this book you will find 4 rompers that are knit flat (and later seamed), 13 rompers that are knit in the round, 5 hats. Some are girly, some are gender neutral, but all are pretty, cute and awesome, and each and every one will make an outstanding and unique photography prop. All the patterns have been tested by both knitters and newborn photographers - knitters loved making them, photographers adored using them!
There are several yarn recommendation options given with each design. Please treat those as suggestions only. I recommend using www.yarnsub.com to look up other yarn options that might work for each project. Alternatively, you can visit your local yarn store and look for yarns there - check the labels, all of them have the suggested needle size and the suggested gauge. Look for gauge information within each pattern and look for yarn that matches the gauge. Please keep in mind that it is still very much recommended to make a gauge swatch to make sure you match the gauge, that is the only way to be absolutely sure that the item will be the right size and fit! If you are investing this much time and love in creating those tiny outfits, you want them to be perfect! A tip: if you would like your item to be a more dainty one, you can use thinner yarn and larger needles! Just make sure you make a gauge swatch.
