Wagtail garments are inspired by the bird White Wagtail “Motacilla alba“, hence the name Wagtail.
There will be added more designs in this book during 2018. The price will then be adjusted. If you purchased the book before new designs have been added, these will be free for you.

All Wagtail garment has different motif for the mans size and the womans size. Models for the mans is knitted in 2 colors while the womans model are worked with 2 or 3 colors, but if desired you can work the woman size with only 2 colors too.

The hat is worked in the round and starts with 1 hem and 4 tucks. After the last tuck you increase stitches before you begin with the pattern. Decreases for the crown of the hat starts after the pattern is completed.

The cowl`s is worked in the round and starts with 1 hem and 3 tucks. Cowl II has 14 rounds with 3 colors worked at the same time, but if desired you can work with only 2 colors. When the color work is finished, you establish edge stitches with buttonhole and work back and forward. The cowl is finished with I-cord bind off.

All Wagtail pattern has:

• Yarn: 50 gr = 160 meters. Fingering/4ply (14 wpi)
• Gauge in stranded knitting: 28 stitches x 32 row = 10 x 10 cm (10”).
• Gauge hem/tucks: 26 sts = 10 cm.
• Difficulty: Intermediate
• Techniques: Knit, increase, k2tog, yo, hem, tuck, I-cord bind off, stranded color work with 2 or 3 colors.
