Additional pattern for Heart Gloves added in February 2023. This is a separate file. Make sure you download both. YARN GAUGE SIZE AND MACHINE Any machine with punchcard ability may be used. I prefer the standard gauge version of these gloves because of the proportion of the hearts to the size ofthe garment but versions for mid-gauge and bulky are also included so that anyone may enjoy the project. Use 2 colors of soft #1 yarn for standard gauge machines. #3 yarn for mid-gauge machines or #4 yarn for bulky machines. For the main yarn, less than 4 ouces are needed in the standard gauge version. Only a scrap of the contrast color for the hearts is required. One ounce should be sufficient. The yarns should be similar weights and textures. There are many coned yarns that willdo a nice job of this. If looking for a locally available choice, Wool-like by Loops and Threads and sold by Michaels is a suitable choice. If youd like a self striping pattern as shown inthe sample, sock yarn works wel!
