This year’s Westknits Yarn A Long is inspired by architectural shawl shapes + textured stitches to bring you three brand new unique shawl designs that embrace fun pops of colour. Each month in May, June, and July you will receive a curated collection of custom colours to knit a brand new shawl. Each yarn package contains surprise semi-solid and speckled colorways dyed on super soft wool or wool blend bases. You can expect a range of shades like smoky pink, summery melon and cool blues. Each yarn package also includes special knitting related goodies designed by Malia Mae Joseph.

Our three featured dyers contributed a beautiful palette of custom colours for you to knit each shawl throughout the summer months. We love designing these Yarn A Long packages and including exciting new knitting techniques for you to try. It’s a wonderful opportunity to learn something new as we surprise you with gorgeous hand dyed color palettes and coordinating accessories and tools.

When you sign up for the Yarn A Long at Stephen & Penelope, you will receive a code to download the YAL 2024 e-book. Once you redeem your YAL e-book code, you will immediately receive a bonus shawl pattern called the Swing into Spring Shawl. Then, you will receive your three regular pattern e-book updates in May, June, and July during the YAL season. The Swing into Spring pattern is designed for two colors of yarn, so you have something relaxing to knit while you anticipate your first YAL package in May. The Swing into Spring Shawl is a bonus pattern designed to feature your single skeins from your yarn collection. This early bonus pattern is in addition to the three main ARCHITEXTURE themed YAL patterns that you will receive in May, June, & July.
