The Woven Placemat Collection pattern is included in the Design Your Own Woven Placemat pattern. Do NOT purchase both.
The Woven Placemat Collection of four distinct designs offers a stunning array of placemats crafted with an innovative slipped-stitch knitting technique that creates the look of woven fabric. Cast on a placemat and watch the design magically emerge!
Start your Woven Knitting journey with Woven Placemat A. It is the easiest in the collection, a great way to master the technique.
This is the perfect gift for every occasion: a wedding, housewarming, hostess or holiday gift, or as a treat for yourself. Make this truly special by:
- knitting a set with one or more of the four designs
- unleashing your creativity with the Design Your Own Woven Placemat feature
- selecting colours that harmonize with the recipient’s personal style.
Use Queensland Coastal Cotton with its easy-care (machine washable) requirements for placemats that will be used every day.
The woven look of the fabric is created with an easy to memorize 8 round repeat. The Woven Placemat tutorials will guide you through these patterns.
