I resurrected these socks after deciding that I would rip out and even get rid of the sock blank. As I was ripping them out for the Fix It or Nix It, I decided I wanted to start them again and make long socks. So I restarted with 80 stitches, slowly decreased down to 72 (on size 0s). I’ll end up using the full gradient this way and the socks will probably end up being one of my favorite pairs because I love all my 2x2 rib socks.
Sometime in 2018
Bought the gorgeous gradient sock blank (double) and started the socks on the first night of Stitches West 2018. Two at a time on two circular needles gave me fits at first. I still have some trouble with yarn management. I don’t think I’ll do this technique again. But I love the yarn and wanted the challenge, so I’m really happy with the socks so far.
Soon I decided that TAAT isn’t for me. It helped to make sure the two circular needles were different brands but the same size. But still…
Plus, the socks were not going to show off the gradient well. Bye bye!
