Notes

This is a scaled-down version of the Jackfield Tile square keeping the proportions and some of the design features and stitch patterns of the original but measuring only about 7.5” in DK. I’m making several prototypes in different colours and my favourite will be entered into a granny square design competition which specifies 20 or 28 stitches per side on the final round. Had a job getting it down to 28!

I think the third pic down is my favourite so far - it seems to have the best colour balance and show the stitch patterns most clearly. May change my mind…

Finally decided to stop faffing around and enter that square. Fun to see different colour effects - maybe I’ll make a crazy patchwork blanket from all the samples :). Planning to write out the pattern for this version soon.
