Made two purses this weekend (!!!) because I had an idea in my head and some beautiful vintage/antique wooden handles.

The design for the squares worked out perfectly for the look I was going for. I modified the original pattern to make some half-squares for the shape I wanted. See my notes in the Diamond Granny Square project.

These clutches were both made in a worsted/aran weight with a 5.5mm hook, I joined the handles with a 4mm hook. The squares are backed with burlap and then lined with felt. I’m really happy with how they turned out!
