Notes

I did not like the spiral not joining in the original pattern so I used it as a basis to design one that uses a join.

Pattern Modifications
For this yarn and this hook made by me:
- Rnd 1: I chained 12 and followed the pattern for making the bottom of the soap sack. Join to first stitch with a slip stitch. (24 SC)
- Rnd 2: Ch 1 then HDC in the first stitch. Now ch 1, skip a stitch, HDC in next stitch around. Do not put an HDC in the chain 1 space. Use a half double crochet to join to the first stitch. (12 HDC + 1 HDC join)
- Rnd 3: The HDC join positions the yarn in the middle of the space. Chain 1 to get to the correct height then HDC in the same space. Ch 1 then HDC in the next space around. Close to first HDC with a HDC.
- Repeat Rnd 3 nine times.
- Brder Round 1: Join with HDC. Chain 1, SC in same space. Use original pattern for instructions on placing the loop. Two single crochets in next space around. End 1 SC in beg space. Join.
- Follow pattern for Border Round 2. Close with invisible join.
