Update:
These Christmas Pixel Blankets have a secondary use as Christmas Height Chart Blankets.
Christmas 2022 is Eddie’s 1st year on the blanket.

This is a fantastic throw by Sarah Zimmerman of RepeatCrafterMe. What a clever girl she is.

Sarah has a wonderful blog where she shares so many great crochet patterns including this Christmas throw. Take a look here.

I have been meaning to make this wonderful throw ever since it came out and have been procrastinating about learning the c2c technique.

My stitches tend to be a little on the short side and this impacts when I try to make squares (not grannies), but it turned out well and c2c is easy-peasy:)

I made my first Santa square using aran (worsted weight) yarn, but he ended up too big to make a throw with, but it will make a great cushion, which granddaughter Annabel has already claimed.

At first I was getting a little tied up, with all the bobbins, but I have found my way of doing it, by using peg-like grips.

I can see more of these throws in my future. I may just make 2 or 3 of each square as I go. I will see what response I get from the family when they come to dinner today, as to who wants one.

Up-date Of course my two married children want one each for their homes, so three it will be.

December 2020 I originally made blanket number 3 for my home, but then my youngest daughter got a home of her own, so my blanket now lives with her. I’m going to make this Christmas blanket for my home now.

You can see my daughters blanket here and my sons one here
