I am still on my baby blanket quest. Making this ripple blanket for a baby boy. There is sure to be at least one in the mix. (4 new babies due this year or early next to, friends of my 2 daughters).

I am going to add a few appliques, fish, boats, clouds etc.

A change to the Noah’s Ark blankets I usually make.

I have added 3 different sized boats, a lighthouse, sun clouds and fish.

How I made the boat:

1. 20 ch + 19 sc
2. 2 sc in 1st st, 1 sc in each st = 20 sc
3. Repeat row 2 until 25 sts

Sail

1. Join white Skip 1st 4 sts, sc 17, sk4
2. Sc in every st. (17)
3. Sc 2 tog at beginning of every row.

Flag:
1.Make 6 ch and sc in each st (5 sc) 2/3. sc in each st. Next Rows: sc2tog at beg of each row until you run out of sts.

Life Preserver:

In white ch 6, make a ring, ch 1, hdc into ring, hdc up until pull through and pull blue or red through to complete second hdc, continue until 3 white and 3 coloured hdc have been worked.
