I don’t weave as much as I would like - but really wanted to make something with the wonderful Habu stainless steel silk. Can’t get enough of that magic stuff.

I warped up my AKL with soft mushroom hued Habu silk stainless steel, and have woven with the soft Dairing Denim cotton, in Saori fashion. I’ve missed a spot here and there, and just let it make itself.

Its very fine and took a long time on the Ashford Loom and towards the end I decided to add some Habu linen into the mix. The last section was Linen and Denim and then just the Linen.

I finished it this then gave it a quick dip in some super hot water and a good belting in the dryer.

It came up beautifully and is surprisingly warm.

Length after washing and drying approx 150cm, width - hmm 40cm, very very smooshable and easily my most favourite project to date. (But then again I say that each time I complete a project for myself).

A woven kusha kusha type scarf….love x 1000.
