Notes

I looked for a t-shirt with a scooped rather than a V neckline as I didn’t want to have to figure out how to replicate the pattern in the v. This one had enough scoop I still had to kind of join 2 motifs near the bottom of the scoop.

While I removed the original neckline, I simultaneously did a blanket stitch before the stitching holes closed on me. The first round of SCs were built on the blanket stitch.

The first time, I did the entire edging, but it was way too large, so I settled for the sideways shells that really resembled hearts once they were done.

The neckline was a bit floppy so I added a connection of chains to reduce the size of the neckline. Then I built a row of SCs on the chain.

I can’t say I followed the edging pattern, but I still include it because I intended to use it. If you look at it closely, it’s quite clever. What I assumed to be multiple rows is actually accomplished by turning back upon itself.
