I want this cowl to be a really good wind blocker as well as being pretty, so I thickened it around the neck and front where I’ll need warmth most. I added to the width and folded over the top edge to make a collar (rep 1 row of sc and 2 rows of crossed dc before the final row of dc). Then I positioned the buttons in a way that would secure the fold. I’m very happy with the results.
