Striped Ribs Scarf
(Based on Lion Brand L0407)

MATERIALS

• 450 to 600 yards worsted yarn
• Crochet hook size J-10 (6 mm)
• Yarn needle

GAUGE: 15 sctl and 16 rows = 4 inches

FINISHED SIZES: Every foot of scarf is 45 ch or foundation sc

• For 5 feet 225 sc
• For 5 1/2 feet 250 sc (rounded)
• For 6 feet 270 sc

ABBREVIATIONS

• ch - chain
• sc - single crochet
• sctl - single crochet top loop
• st - stitch

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Row 1: Chainless sc foundation the number of sts for desired length of scarf (45 per foot). Piece will seem long but will tighten with subsequent rows.

2. Row 2: Ch 1. Sctl in each st across. Repeat Row 2 until piece measures 8 inches from beginning, or desired scarf width.

3. If desired, sc a border row around perimeter of scarf, 2sc in each corner. Fasten off, weave in ends.
