Bear #139 is named Sean, an Irish variation of the name John. In his Aran sweater, Sean Bear is warmly dressed for the October MBP Autumnal theme, which I am hosting.

Because the sweater is a separate piece, I made the sweater and the bear in tandem, so I could make sure the sweater fit. I reduced the sweater length by 8 rows (one repeat of the center cable pattern) and reduced the sleeve rows by 10. I also used a thinner worsted weight yarn, so Sean Bear would be slightly smaller.

Sean’s scarf was made doing a row of foundation double crochet.
