I’ve wimped out and added Ocean to the pattern of squares because I was running out of Azure and didn’t want to buy more yarn. Though I’m running out of Ocean. GRRR!

I was nine, count them NINE dc’s short of finishing the last of the granny squares needed for my blanket. And I had to buy another skein of Ocean. Why is it that stash busting projects require more yarn? Anyway, I’m working on this again. :)

I’m finished. And I’ll sort of miss this blanket, because while I’m glad its done it was a comedy of errors to complete this blanket. As you read above I needed to buy more yarn because I couldn’t finish the last granny square. So I sewed the frame of granny squares together only to find a spare yarn skein of Caron One Pound in the same color. So now I’ve an extra skein, and after sewing in the flower panels I accidentally messed up the placement of the flowers. Taking it out I wrecked the granny square frame. Had to whip up some more granny squares and then found some already made after sewing the flower panels in.

sighs I’m not putting down people with serious mental illnesses but I’m seriously thinking I need to commit myself if I plan on keeping up with crochet. Because I think this hobby or way of life will drive me insane.
