This is a sample knit for Malabrigo.
This is a tough color. I received 10 skeins of this and not more than 3 skeins matched in colorway. Needless to say, there was A LOT of alternating! And still it was not meant to be. I was able to get one sleeve to match just fine but I had to knit the second sleeve twice and I felt like it still didn’t match very well…not as perfect as I would have liked. The top pic is of the first attempt at the second sleeve. I didn’t get a pic of the second attempt at the second sleeve because I had to ship it off.
12/10/09 - Neck is done! I am officially seaming this baby up!
12/09/09 - The sleeves are now blocking and I’m now the neck! Yay! I’m hoping to finish this by the end of the weekend.
12/07/09 - Second sleeve done! I can see the light at the end of the tunnel!
11/08/09 - First sleeve finally done!
10/17/09 - Front and back done! Now on the sleeves. I knit these two at a time the first time but now that I’m alternating skeins, I’m not even gonna try to do that this time!
10/08/09 - I had a little set back on the back panel and had to frog 5 inches of it. But it’s done now. I need to get this done in a week to be sent off to Stitches East with a friend for delivery.
09/30/09 - I took a little hiatus from this. I am now back at it. I’ve got about 12 inches of one panel done.
09/06/09 - So I’ve finished the first bottom ribbing and I’m doing the second one before moving on. I figured it would be easier to match the skein colors when I’ve got both sides knitted up. So far the two match pretty well. I suspect the rest will not be as easy.
