7jul10 - I think knitting these 2-at-a-time will help solve some of the issues I encountered with the last few pairs of socks (second one slightly smaller or larger, can’t remember some kind of stupid mod to the pattern I made, etc… ). Also, KP Felici Sport knits up very quickly and is very satisfying to knit with.

As usual, I have replaced the short-row toe with Judy’s magic cast-on and increased all the way up. I used k1fb for the increases, like last time, but I think next time, i’ll contemplate another increase. I’m still not perfectly satisfied with this.

19jul10 - I SWEAR one of these days, I’ll find a short row heel that I like. EVERY TIME I MAKE SOCKS, I get just past the halfway point on the heel and I don’t like the way that the joins look. I’ve tried concealing wraps (but one of my stitches always looks too big), and NOT concealing wraps (but then you can see the wraps) … ARGH! NEED NEW SOLUTION PLS.

23jul10 - I have experimented with a new heel. It’s not quite finished yet, but I’m trying an afterthought heel for the first time. I was also able to use slip-stitches to re-inforce the heel this way, so we’ll see how it turns out. I think I like it so far …
