I didn’t have the prescribed yarn and colorways in my stash, so I made this using two strands of regular crocheting cotton.

For the feather part I used one light and one dark strand at the same time, to obtain the speckled hen effect. I changed from black to navy and back again at irregular intervals.

BTW the body would fit my head perfectly as a hat, so a summer hat is up next!!
