I have a collection of kiddie’s books and, well, all sorts of (boxes of) pictures to make into these old fancy-work boxes. I love them, and they are quick and fun to make.
So, this is the same as Lorna’s Hanky Box, but I made the sides (and centre divider) deeper.
I’m largely self-taught in the crochet department so have fudged my way around the edge. I ended up stitching the gorgeous little tear-drop glass beads on with cotton. I’m sure there’s another way (although the holes are too tiny for any hook), but I don’t know it.
Really I’m Grandma taught, but I never learned the reading of patterns from her(I know she’d be over 100 years old, but why isn’t she here to ask still? It’s not fair).
