Full disclosure, I do not read German. I’m using Twisted-Stich Knitting, the translation of the original books by Maria Erlbacher (http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/sources/twisted-stitch-kn...).
I’m making normal socks for an adult woman, so I combined the 7 motifs for the ankle (not part of the calf gusset) plus 3 motifs from the calf gusset (# 65 on either side of # 121). In between the motifs, I did motif # 2 rather than # 55, and the patterned area was a total of 100 stitches.
Cast on 80 stitches and did k1b, p1 ribbing for 14 rows.
Set up row for patterned portion:
LT, (k1b, p1) 4 times, M1k, k1b, M1p, p1, M1p, LT,k1b, M1p, p1, M1p, LT (k1b, p1) 4 times, k1b, M1k, p1, (k1b, p1) twice, M1p, LT, k1b, p1, k1b, M1k, (k1b) 4 times, p1, k1b, M1k, p1, M1k, k1b, M1p, p1, k1b, p1, k1b, M1k, p1, M1p, p1, M1p, p1, k1b, RT, M1p, p1, M1p, LT, (k1b, p1) twice, LT, k1b, p1, k1b, M1k, p1, k1b, M1k, (k1b) 4 times, p1, k1b, M1k, p1, M1p, LT, LT (100 stitches)
In between each motif is (p1, motif # 2, p1).
Start pattern with p1, motif # 2, p1, then:
