I made a shaped yoke:

Chain 30 (I used a forward loop chain http://mrsmicawber.blogspot.com/2013/10/forward-loop-chai... )

Row 1 - sc, ch 1 turn
Row 2 - 2sc in first stitch, 6sc, 2sc in next stitch, 14sc, 2sc in next stitch, 6sc, 2sc in last stitch. Ch 1 turn.
Row 3 - 2sc in first stitch, 7sc, 2sc in next stitch, 16sc, 2sc in next stitch, 7sc, 2sc in last stitch. Ch 1 turn.
Row 4 - 2sc in first stitch, 8sc, 2sc in next stitch, 18sc, 2sc in next stitch, 8sc, 2sc in last stitch. Ch 1 turn.

Slip stitch the 1st st with the 3nd st from the end; slip stitch the 2nd st with the 2nd stitch from the end; slip stitch the 3rd stitch with the 1st stitch from the end. ch 1 and sc around for a total of 39 dc sts. I actually needed one more for the pleated part to work right.

I used the pleats from cataddict’s Chat en Madrid. I did them like she did, except there are fewer pleats.
